Here are some pictures that some of my customers have sent me of their cameras in action!  You can see here what they look like in a foaling stall type situation.

This picture was submitted by Jehnet Carlson of DJ Bar Ranch in Belgrade, Montana.  Jehnet has our Color CM11R External Antenna/Transmitter system.

You can go to her web site at www.djbarranch.com to keep track of what's going on at her ranch.  You can e-mail Jehnet at djbarranch@msn.com

I love them, with out them you can watch and watch and watch some more but you know
the moment you quit watching they will have that baby. With the camera's they never know you are watching. Sleeping in the barns is a thing of the past. I have a small TV with a built in VCR. As soon as I know they are starting I hit the record button. I have a small barn with 3 stalls. I have 3 cameras one for each stall and one that I go to bed with if I am watching 2 mares at a time that is split between both stalls. It is set to watch half of each of the 2 stalls. Susan Hunter is great to work with, she is always prompt to respond.

I have attached a group of pictures, each one is a different mare. There is one more that I saw the birth of but didn't get any shots but the cameras have the credit for being there.  The only baby I wasn't present for the birth I was gone to Montana Mule Days and came home to him. I really believe imprinting plays a very positive role in raising foals. With these cameras your chances of being their increase greatly.

Attached are some shots taken of the TV from last year.
1. View from my bed
2. I didn't quit wake up before hand on this one, the picture is my first view when I    opened my eyes at 2 in the morning
3. The next 3 were waiting
4. The last is the view of the split stalls.

My first foal of this year was captured on video also. Born at 11:45 PM Saint Patrick's day.  I had my alarm set for 2 thinking she wasn't that close and when I woke without the alarm and saw the mare laying down knew something was up because she had never laid down that I had seen before. You get a good chance beforehand to observe the mares and understand their habits in a natural environment.

I hope that answers your questions. I did start with a totally remote and had to change to
remote antenna's my barn is 60 feet long, and the house is about not sure exactly but less than 50 yards from the barn. As you can see from the pictures if you like photography the advantage of color over B&W .
